Panel | Artificial Intelligence: From Transformation to Value Creation

Artificial intelligence is already transforming organizations. But how can businesses move from technological potential to tangible value creation?

On February 16, 2027, AFP Montréal will bring together three professionals with complementary perspectives for a panel discussion on artificial intelligence and its impact on business, finance, and organizational transformation.

Joining the panel will be Nicholas Morel, AI Specialist at Google Cloud for Eastern Canada; Hooman Taravati, CPA, MBA, Vice President, Client Relationships and Growth at KPMG in Canada; and Julie Blais, CPA Auditor, MBA, from Beneva.

Technology, strategy, data, transformation, customer experience, new operating models, and evolving ways of working: this panel will provide an opportunity to hear different perspectives from professionals approaching artificial intelligence from distinct business realities.

Further details about the panel and the topics to be discussed will be announced shortly.

About Nicholas Morel

Nicholas Morel is an AI Specialist at Google Cloud for Eastern Canada. With more than eight years of experience in the technology sector, he focuses on bridging the gap between the possibilities offered by cutting-edge technologies and the real-world challenges faced by businesses.

Before joining Google, he was a Partner at Moov AI, a Montréal-based firm specializing in applied artificial intelligence, where he contributed to the development of solutions for organizations such as Metro, Merck, and Pratt & Whitney Canada. His approach starts with business challenges to determine how technology can help deliver tangible outcomes for organizations, their employees, and their customers.

About Hooman Taravati

Hooman Taravati, CPA, MBA, is Vice President, Client Relationships and Growth at KPMG in Canada. He advises executive teams across the financial services industry on business and digital transformation initiatives.

With more than 30 years of consulting experience, he helps organizations align business strategy, customer experience, artificial intelligence, data, and technology to create sustainable value. Throughout his career, he has led complex transformation programs for insurers, banks, and asset managers, bridging strategic vision, partnerships, and the implementation of new operating models.

About Julie Blais

Julie Blais, CPA Auditor, MBA, is with Beneva. She will bring her experience and corporate perspective to the panel discussions on artificial intelligence and organizational transformation.

This panel is designed for CFOs, treasurers, FP&A professionals, finance leaders, and executives looking to better understand the transformations driven by artificial intelligence and their implications for organizations.
