In his presentation, From Private to Public: Groupe Dynamite’s IPO Journey, Jean-Philippe D. Lachance, CFA will take us inside the company’s transition from a private business to a publicly listed corporation. He will explore the rigorous preparation leading up to the IPO, the key steps in the listing process, and the organizational changes that come with becoming a public company.

One year later, he will share candid insights on the lessons learned and the realities of life on the public markets.

Jean-Philippe D. Lachance is the Chief Financial Officer of Groupe Dynamite. He is responsible for all finance functions, including financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, treasury, internal controls, and taxation, in addition to overseeing real estate management. Prior to joining Groupe Dynamite, Mr. Lachance held the position of Vice President of Investor Relations, Treasury, and FP&A at Alimentation Couche-Tard, where he supervised the company’s treasury strategy and operations, optimized its capital structure and allocation activities, and developed its investor relations strategy, working closely with institutional investors and financial analysts. Previously, he held a similar role as Vice President of Corporate Finance and Treasurer at Dollarama.

Mr. Lachance has approximately 15 years of experience in retail and other relevant sectors. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Conseil québécois du commerce de détail and was recognized by Brendan Wood International as a Top Gun Investor Relations Officer in 2023. Mr. Lachance holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Corporate Finance from HEC Montréal and is a CFA charterholder.
