On May 18, 2027, AFP Montréal is pleased to welcome Alexandre Martin Isoz-Vaillancourt, Director, Finance and Administration at Opéra de Montréal, for a lunch conference at the Saint-James Club of Montréal.
Financial management within a cultural organization operates in a unique environment, where economic priorities intersect with artistic ambitions, funding challenges, and the desire to make culture accessible to a broader audience.
In this context, finance professionals play an essential role in supporting organizational development, ensuring long-term sustainability, and helping institutions fulfill their missions.
With a career that has taken him from leading treasury operations at a major international airline group to overseeing the finances of a prominent Montréal cultural institution, Alexandre Martin Isoz-Vaillancourt brings a unique perspective on the diverse environments in which the Finance function operates.
This event will provide an opportunity to learn about his professional journey, engage with a finance leader whose experience combines financial management, governance, and cultural involvement, and gain a fresh perspective on financial management challenges.
The topic and detailed description of his presentation will be announced shortly.
Alexandre Martin Isoz-Vaillancourt is Director, Finance and Administration at Opéra de Montréal.
An economist by training, he has extensive experience in corporate finance and treasury management. Before joining Opéra de Montréal, he served as Director of Treasury at Transat, where he developed his financial management expertise within an international organization.
His career is also distinguished by a deep and longstanding commitment to Québec's music community.
Passionate about music since childhood, Alexandre was a member of Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal from 1994 to 2002, participating in numerous concerts, tours, and official ceremonies, including performances at Saint Joseph's Oratory.
He continued his musical involvement into adulthood as a singer and board member of several vocal ensembles, including Chœur du Plateau and Ensemble vocal Minimum12.
Since 2022, he has also served as First Vice-President of the Alliance des chorales du Québec, actively contributing to the development and representation of Québec's choral community.
This dual expertise in finance and the arts gives him a distinctive understanding of the management, governance, and development challenges faced by cultural organizations.
Today, at Opéra de Montréal, he brings his financial expertise to an institution whose artistic and cultural mission holds particular personal significance.
