Tennis Canada

How can a sporting event become a true financial engine serving a national mission?

Within Tennis Canada, the OBN (National Bank Open) is not merely an international tournament — it is the economic engine that fuels the development of tennis across Canada.

During this conference, we will explore the virtuous cycle that connects:

  • Athletic performance
  • Event profitability
  • Investment in grassroots development and high performance
  • The sustainable growth of an entire ecosystem

A powerful example of this cycle occurred last year with the victory of Victoria Mboko, an athlete developed through Tennis Canada’s high-performance program. Her outstanding performance at the tournament helped make that edition one of the most successful and profitable to date, generating the resources needed to continue investing in the next generation of athletes.
